We hope you had a fantastic time with us this year at the Yorkshire Brick show, and we want to thank you for once again making the show a success. Over 2000 LEGO fans joined us on the 30th of April and 1st of May to celebrate the plastic fantastic, and we had 50 AFOLS (Adult Fans of LEGO) displaying their impressive creations with LEGO Bricks. We had everything from Classic Town to Space and Galaxies far away this year. We have created a gallery of images from the show on Flickr, which you can find if you click here, but here are some of our favourite shots from the show.
A special thanks goes out to Brickshire – The Yorkshire LEGO User Group for supporting the show once again this year, and thank you also to all of the other AFOLs and their representative LUGs for supporting the show again. As always, we had some awards to give out, and thanks to the public who voted, we were able to pick out our winners for this year. The winners were. Critic’s Choice – Micropolis, by Kevin Hyatt, Russel Morgan and Simon Blackburn of Sheffield LEGO User Group. AFOL Award – Wonderworks, by Gavin Pell of Brick Central LUG. Public Vote – Hoth Battle, by Rob Mitchell of Sheffield LEGO User Group.
Thank you to all of the members of the public who voted. As you know, we were having a prize draw for letting us know your favourite model. Congratulations to Digby, aged 7, you’ve won a £20 Gift Voucher courtesy of Stackable Toys. We’ll be in touch with your mum Anna Mosley very soon. That’s a wrap for this year, and we hope to see you all again next year – in the meantime, check out our sister show, Block Con – Hull.
