The exhibitors with the completed mosaic.

It’s been a week since we opened the doors for the Yorkshire Brick Show 2016 so I thought it would be a good time to reflect on the show, and thank everyone that came for making it such a great show. One of the highlights of the show was the completion of the fantastic Yorkshire Tea mosaic provided by Fairy Bricks. Thank you to the 224 families who took part to put together the 57,568 part mosaic (pictured). Fairy Bricks also ran a tombola to raise money so that they could deliver their mission statement of “Brightening the lives of sick children through LEGO”. They managed to raise over £3000 from the tombola, so a huge thank you to  everyone that took part. We had loads of fantastic new models from our talented exhibitors. A Yorkshire Brick Show tradition is to provide prizes to a small number of spectacular builds. This year’s winners can be found at the bottom of the page. You can find more images from this year’s show on our Flickr gallery – click here. Overall, we had over 3500 visitors over the two day show, and we thank you for taking part in our various activities, from the Minecraft build zone to the Giant LEGO bricks, as well as engaging our exhibitors and asking them about their models. We hope that you are truly inspired to build impressive creations with LEGO bricks. We’ll be back again next year for the Yorkshire Brick Show 2017, and keep an eye out for other Stackable Events around the country.
